Another huge success for Wassailing 2012, with over 350 people, raising more than £4,000 for Somerset Childrens Hospice.
Big crowds turned out to watch the centuries-old tradition of Somerset wassailing - when good health is wished on apple crops for the coming year on Saturday night (January 14th).
Organisers from Burnham Rotary Club and Rich's Cider teamed up to hold the ceremony at the cider farm in Watchfield.
In addition to the ceremony itself when the Wassailing Queen was carried shoulder-high through the crowds there was entertainment from The Mangled Wurzels and Bob Darch, plus cider and other refreshments.
Proceeds went to local charities and a Burnham Rotary Club spokesman said the event had been another "great success".
